Favorite Character

One of my favorite characters in the book, Of Mice and Men, is Slim. I like Slim, because he is the leader of the group and is the most respected. He also seems to be the wisest. He knows what to say in difficult situations. He also knows how to comfort someone and can relate to people in some way. He makes you feel good and he knows whether or not something is good or bad. He is the one that is turned to for advice and the one that is always there for you in some way. He is also trustworthy. He is the guy that everybody likes and wants to be friends with. He has many good qualities. He knows how to read people so that he can help out with things that are wrong or knows that something is wrong and wants to help. In George’s case, Slim read George and knew that George had done what he had done, because he had to and that he did it out of the goodness in his heart for Lennie. In this way that Slim read George, he could tell what needed to be said and how to comfort George. He is a good friend that is always there for you.
